Allergens

Allergens are subject to a declaration requirement in foodstuffs if statutory limits are exceeded.

In addition to ELISA methods for the direct detection of allergenic proteins, Biolytix offers PCR methods with which relevant animal and plant species with allergenic potential can be detected.

Based on these procedures, a suitable analysis strategy can be selected for each research question. Allergen analyzes are available for all steps in the food production process – from the raw material to the final product and in addition to the cleaning check.

Due to the comprehensive expertise of food production and the many years of experience in food diagnostics, Biolytix establishes customer-specific traceability systems with tailor-made analytics. Thus, an undesirable entry of allergens into the production chain can be excluded or detected early.
